Basa, a fresh water fish cultivated in ish farms in Vietnam, It s a tasty and versatile fish. Basa flesh is mild enough to take on other flavours but flavourful enough to hold ts own flavor during preparations. Basa ish goes well with griling, pan-frying, steaming, curry, tandoor and barbeque.Basa is a fresh water ish and i produce in ish pond farms where ft is fed with soya beans, hence making ft more nutritious to consume. I is one the world’s most successful aquaculture species – and s rapidly gaining popularity in Asa, Australia, Europe and North America. I the UK, the species is known mainly as “river cobbler”, with “basa” also being used on occasion. In Europe, these fish are commonly marketed as “pangasius”or “panga’.
